Slipway is widely used in shipyard to repair or maintenance vessels , especially for the inclined building berth that is fixed slope on the ground , after the hull is built on the base , it can slide into the water along the slope slide with the help of the inch , it is mostly used in the construction of medium or small-sized ships , the slipway winch can meet the water entry and exit conditions of ships of various tonnages .
The primary role of the slipway winch is to safety pull a ship out of water for maintenance , repairs or storage , because the slipway are sloped , the winch must manage high load against gravity to ensure the vessel and its cradle not slip .
